Dr. Maria Gutierrez
DDS
Dr. Maria Gutierrez was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. At the age of 16, she discovered her passion and decided to become a dentist. She attended five years of training at the prestigious University of Santa Maria School of Dental Medicine in Venezuela where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2004. After graduating, Dr Gutierrez worked in close collaboration with her father, a renowned Pediatric Doctor, at their medical-dental office in Caracas. She treated children and adults with complex medical and dental problems. In addition to her dental degree, she completed a two-year residency program and earned a specialist degree in Pediatric Dentistry in 2007.
After working in her own private practice for a while in Venezuela Dr. Gutierrez decided to move to the United States to further her professional development. In 2012, She received her US Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from the University of the Pacific Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA. She also served as an assistant professor teaching removable and restorative dentistry to dental students after graduation.
Dr. Gutierrez has a combined eighteen years of clinical experience in dentistry working with both children and adult patients in all aspects of dental care. She has continued to pursue the advancement of her training with continuum education classes in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, orthodontics, implantology, and she is always eager to master new technologies.
She speaks fluent English and Spanish, and well known for having a gentle touch and calming personality. A true love and passion for her work, she takes great pride in delivering excellent dental care to all her patients.
Nicole Reese
Treatment Coordinator/ Billing
Nicole has been in the dental field for over 20 years. Her focus has always been managing dental practices. Her number one priority is patient’s satisfaction. Her hobbies include gardening, shopping and traveling.
Veronica Lopez
RDA
Veronica is a Fullerton native. She has been an assistant for over twenty years, and she loves working in the dental field keeping up to date with the advances in dentistry. Patients love her charismatic, caring and sweet personality. She is a wife and a mother of two beautiful kids, and she enjoys sports and outside activities with her family.
Mayra Tapia
RDH
Mayra has been a registered dental hygienist since 2017. She graduated with an Associates in dental hygiene from SJVC. She can speak both Spanish and English, and has lived in Anaheim her entire life.
Mayra is friendly and sarcastic. She is a team player and works well with her coworkers. She is gentle and able to put her patients at ease for a positive dental experience. Her main goal is to give her patients quality care and show them how to improve and maintain their oral health. In her free time she enjoys spending it with her partner Alex, and her son and daughter.
Stephanie Thompson
Hygienist
Stephanie graduated from University of California Irvine with a BS in Biological Sciences. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of The Pacific in San Francisco.
She has been with this practice since 2004 as part of our Hygiene team. She always has a smile on her face and loves to see our patients. She has developed many lasting friendships over the years. It is not uncommon to see patients coming in with cookies or homemade jams when they come in to see her. She is the proud mother of two beautiful daughters and has been happily married for 25 years and living in Orange County for over thirty years.
Ashley Cruz
Dental Assistant
Ashley has been in dentistry for four years. She attended Fullerton Dental Assisting School in 2019. She found her passion in oral hygiene while attending her monthly visits with her orthodontist at a young age. Ashley plans to excel her knowledge, career and join a dental hygiene program in the future. She is patient and caring when it comes to helping the staff and patients.
Ashley grew up in a diverse community where she learned values and experiences of people different from one self. Ashley went to school in Mexico City for a couple years where She advanced her communication skills, reading and writing in Spanish. When out of the office, Ashley enjoys being a mother to her one year old baby, being active outdoors and cooking.
